LUNAR 9

You're the ninth explorer sent down. The other eight are still down there, somewhere.

Lunar 9 is a turn-based, mouse-driven roguelike about excavating a moon that was never supposed to have this much inside it. Every crater hides a site. Every site hides a floor you haven't seen. Some of those floors don't have a bottom.

When you die, you don't restart — the outpost above you does. A new explorer wakes from cryo, the pods a little fewer than last time, the recyclers a little louder. The moon doesn't care how many of you it takes.

WHAT'S DOWN THERE

  • 600+ procedurally generated sites across more than a dozen kinds of terrible: buried survey probes, ice fields, cave systems, alien ruins, crashed ships (three different hull classes, each wrecked differently), dead colonies with a metro that goes down forever, an anomaly vault with no floor, and a section of crashed orbital ring the length of the map.
  • Two of those go on literally forever. There's no bottom to find — only how far you're willing to go.
  • Procedurally generated alien wildlife, never the same creature twice, and named apex guardians holding the deepest vaults.
  • A real survival layer: O2, suit integrity, limb wounds, noise (loud mining wakes the whole floor), and weather that can blind you, freeze you, or bring the ceiling down.
  • Skills, attributes, mutations, weapon mastery, and a deep crafting tree — bring back scrap, come back stronger.
  • A real story underneath the procedural chaos: Echo-lineage clones, Archaic Warden droids, an Architect that left something behind, and a comms array counting down to something you didn't ask for.

STATUS In active solo development. New systems, sites, and horrors added regularly.

Windows. Mouse-driven, one click at a time. Turn off the lights first.
